چکیده
This study was carried out in July 2016 Camili (Macahel) which is Turkey's first and only biosphere reserve area. The aims of this were to investigate the Simuliidae species some streams Valley, identify “reference site” are important for Water Framework Directive (WFD), determine ecological characteristics studied sites according System A B Classification explore relationship between recorded environmental variables by using CCA technique. For purpose, 257 individuals sampled from nine sites. Physicochemical (dissolved oxygen, pH, water temperature, electrical conductivity, velocity) measured at each site. In Valley following collected: Simulium (Nevermannia) angustitarse, cryophilum, vernum, (Simulium) bezzii, tuberosum, variegatum. Because anthropogenic stresses insignificant research area, fauna area not affected negatively. Also, six have reference habitat conditions.

Parasites of larval black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae) in Thailand
Parasites of larval black flies are reported for the first time from Thailand, including mermithid nematodes (Mermithidae), microsporidian fungi (Zygomycota), and the fungus Coelomycidium simulii Debaisieux (Blastocladiomycetes). The following nine species of black flies were infected with one or more parasites: Simulium asakoae, S. chamlongi, S. chiangmaiense, S. fenestratum, S. feuerborni, S....
متن کاملDNA barcoding as an aid for species identification in austral black flies (Insecta: Diptera: Simuliidae).
In this paper, the utility of a partial sequence of the COI gene, the DNA barcoding region, for the identification of species of black flies in the austral region was assessed. Twenty-eight morphospecies were analyzed: eight of the genus Austrosimulium (four species in the subgenus Austrosimulium s. str., three species in the subgenus Novaustrosimulium, and one species unassigned to subgenus), ...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Kernel Smoothing Method for Classifying Austrosimulium tillyardianum (Diptera: Simuliidae) Larval Instars
In insects, the frequency distribution of the measurements of sclerotized body parts is generally used to classify larval instars and is characterized by a multimodal overlap between instar stages. Nonparametric methods with fixed bandwidths, such as histograms, have significant limitations when used to fit this type of distribution, making it difficult to identify divisions between instars. Fi...
متن کاملMan-biting Simuliidae (diptera) of Northern India
Simulium Indicum Becher, a man-biting species, is reviewed in detail. The female of this species is redescribed. The male of Simulium nodosum Puri is described for the first time and supplementary notes on the female, pupa and larva are presented.
متن کاملKaryological characters of blackflies (Diptera: Simuliidae)
The paper provides a short review of blackfly cytogenetics. The most important characters of blackfly karyotypes, such as centromeres, puffs, Balbiani rings, nucleoli, sex-chromosome determining systems and B-chromosomes are considered. Interchromosomal homozygous translocations and a tandem fusion of polytene chromosomes are described. Evolutionary trends in karyotypic changes are discussed.
